Early Access Promotions

Give select customers first access to new products, sales, or limited releases before the general public. Use Private (Abra Link) promotions to create urgency and reward loyal subscribers or VIP segments.


How It Works

Create a Private promotion and share the Abra Link with your early access group (email subscribers, SMS list, VIPs, etc.). They get exclusive access for a set period before the offer goes public.

Example:

  • Early access: 48 hours via private link (VIP subscribers only)

  • Public launch: Promotion switches to Public visibility after 48 hours

  • Messaging: "Early Access: 24 Hours Only" creates urgency


When to Use Early Access

  • Product launches (new arrivals, limited drops)

  • Pre-sales before public availability

  • Flash sales for subscribers or followers

  • Seasonal campaigns (early Black Friday access)

  • Sold-out item restocks (notify waitlist first)


Setup

Option 1: Early Access Only (No Public Launch)

  1. Open the Abra app and click Create Promotion

  2. Set Visibility to Private

  3. Add your discount or offer

  4. Set an End Date in Active Dates (e.g., 48 hours from start)

  5. Add storefront blocks with urgency messaging (e.g., "Early Access: Ends in 48 Hours")

  6. Click Save

  7. Share the Abra Link with your early access group

Option 2: Early Access → Public Launch

  1. Create a Private promotion for early access:

    • Set Visibility to Private

    • Add your discount

    • Set End Date to when early access ends (e.g., 48 hours)

    • Add storefront blocks with early access messaging

    • Save and share the Abra Link

  2. Create a Public promotion for the public launch:

    • Set Visibility to Public

    • Add the same or different discount

    • Set Start Date to when early access ends

    • Add storefront blocks with public messaging

    • Save

The early access promotion will end automatically and the public promotion will activate at the scheduled time.

Tips for Early Access Promotions

Create Urgency

Use countdown messaging in storefront blocks: "Early Access: 24 Hours Only" or "Ends Tonight at Midnight."

Reward the Right Audience

Send early access to your most engaged segments:

  • Email subscribers

  • SMS list

  • Instagram/social followers

  • Previous purchasers

  • Loyalty program members

Enable Dynamic Pricing

Enable Dynamic Strikethrough Pricing so early access customers see discounted prices immediately. This reinforces the exclusive offer.

Promote the Early Access Opportunity

Build anticipation by announcing early access in advance:

  • "Join our email list for 48-hour early access to our Black Friday sale"

  • "VIPs get first dibs on our new collection! Sign up now"
